Staff interview at Frontline Group

Hello from Dani Colley

Name: Dani Colley

Current Role: Group Account Controller

Joined Seymour: 2015

I joined Seymour in 2015 as a Deputy Account Manager in the Client Services team; since then, I have progressed through the department, first becoming an Account Manager, then taking on line management responsibility and most recently, in early 2022, starting my current role managing a team of talented Account Managers.

The Client Services team deals directly with our publishing clients and offers the opportunity to work with so many different types of people and businesses. It’s the perfect job for people who like a balance of desk-based work and meetings.

There really is a magazine for everything so it may sound clichéd, but no two days are the same. One day you might be talking about gardening, the next about children’s brands.

One of the best things about working at Seymour is the people – there is a collaborative and inclusive environment, and a high level of trust is given to employees meaning you have the autonomy to structure your work in a way that suits you, but the support is there if you need it.

The company understands the importance of work-life balance and offers a great amount of flexibility. I normally work in the office two or three times a week and work from home the rest of the time.

There are so many opportunities for growth, whether it be through in-house training, external training programmes, coaching, mentoring or projects. There is a belief in promoting from within so there are many people like me who have worked their way up over a number of years.

We’re part of an industry that is constantly adapting to change which makes Seymour an exciting place to work.
