OUR COMMITMENT

In our workplace everybody feels welcome.  People are treated equitably, and each of us feels trusted and valued for being our authentic selves.  We provide an environment where people listen to each other, educate themselves and coach others ensuring we celebrate our differences – together we can.

Our commitment to ED&I underpins our company values and behaviours.  We believe that when people from different backgrounds and perspectives work together, we can create the most value for our people.  Together we build a great place to work where people feel included, listened to and respected. We continually review our policies and benefits to ensure they cover all areas and support people at all stages of their lives.

In 2021 we surveyed our people to find out what ED&I meant to them and how we could work together to create a more inclusive workplace. This led to a group of passionate advocates from across our businesses to come together to focus on key areas which included education and awareness, creating a speaking up policy and looking at how we recruit and develop our talent. Over the last 3 years our people have attended a bespoke workshop to understand more about unconscious bias and allyship and everybody is expected annually to complete our diversity and inclusion module to ensure they have a baseline knowledge and understanding.  We continue to listen to our people and act on their feedback.  In 2024 we have completed a second survey and will be sharing the results, showing our progress so far and our areas for continued focus as we progress on our journey.
